Anti Doping Page

June, 2010

Welcome to the FCA’s High Performance webpage section on doping control.  The FCA is committed to providing athletes and coaches with the most up-to-date information from the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, the World Anti-Doping organization and from FITA.  Please use this site to access this information, look for recent advisories on recent, important changes and find links to documents that will help you stay healthy, safe and prepare you for your competitions.

As the Doping Coordinator for the FCA, I have accepted the challenge of ensuring you have what you need in easy to access and understand formats.  This webpage is the first step in this process.  I have developed a set of FAQ’s in response to many issues identified through athlete & coach surveys and in discussion with other High Performance coordinators.  Please feel free to contact me at if you have more questions and I will do everything in my power to find you the answers.

You must remember that, although we can provide you with the links, information and support you any way we can, it is your responsibility to make use of the tools and to be fully informed about the process, the substances you can and cannot take, when they are prohibited and what to do if you are medically prescribed a medication for a medical condition.  Ignorance is never a defence and it is always your career, medal or world ranking that will be on the line.  Do not rely on someone else to tell you what to do.

I hope you find the information provided useful.  If you think something is missing please let me know and we will include it on the page if possible.

Yours in Archery,

Nancy Littke

FCA Doping Coordinator
