Canada’s Non-Olympic Archers Gear Up for Pan Am Championships in Medellin

Ottawa, ON – As the outdoor season approaches, Canada’s Compound and Barebow archers are gearing up for their first competition of the year, the Pan Am Championships in Medellin, Colombia, from April 7th to April 14th.

The compound men’s team, who will be joining the Canadian Recurve team, representing Canada at the event includes:

  • Cameron Palichuk from Sherwood Park, AB
  • Jordan Adachi from Cranbrook, BC

The Pan Am Championships in Medellin provides the Compound Men an opportunity to earn potential quota spots for the 2025 World Games being held in Chengdu China, from Aug. 7-17th 2025.

Unfortunately, Canada’s Compound women were not available to attend this event.

Joining the Canadian team is Raymond Huang of Richmond, British Columbia. This will be Raymond’s making target archery debut on the international stage!.

No stranger to strong competition, Huang recently secured the Barebow title at the 2024 Lancaster Archery Classic, showcasing his skill and determination. He will also be part of the Canadian 3D team attending the 3D World Championships in Mokrice, Slovenia later this year.

The Canadian Archery team will be supported by Coach Duncan Crawford, and High Performance Manager Kylah Cawley.
