Aboriginal Policy

Archery Canada Aboriginal Policy

Archery Canada (AC) recognizes and supports people of the aboriginal community in Canada to participate in all aspects of organized sport to the fullest.

AC in particular recognizes the special quadrennial event The North American Indigenous Games "NAIG" as the most important aboriginal sporting event in North America.

AC recognizes all athletes competing in these Games and views medal performances as a symbol of athletic excellence.

AC acts as liaison between the federal level and provincial sport governing bodies to increase and sustain dialogue in support of these quadrennial Games.

AC will continue to work with archers from the aboriginal community to address needs and issues as they arise
